I am wondering if I need to cut back my peonies to the ground for winter and mulch over them? They are

Expert Response
Yes, herbaceous Peonies benefit from being cut to the ground once the foliage has died, usually with the first frost. An organic mulch of chopped leaves or grass clippings helps keep the area free of weeds and preserves some moisture.
