Dying 30 Foot Tree #775707

Asked October 18, 2021, 1:36 PM EDT

Hello. I have a 30 foot magnolia tree that we just noticed has rapidly lost most of its leaves. It has never done this before. It has always appeared to be conjoined below ground with another tree, although the leaves on each one are different colors. One of them appears healthy. I have attached photos. I have many more photos but I was limited in this request to just 3.

Expert Response

With a tree that size and that close to your house, we suggest that you contact an ISA-certified arborist, who is a tree health expert, for an on-site assessment of what is going on and recommendations of what should be done.

Most large tree companies have arborists on staff, but you can also search your area for one at the credentialing organization here: www.treesaregood.org You might consider having more than one give you their thoughts and compare. Some do free consultations, some do not.
