Hi! I am dividing siberian iris to share with someone in North Carolina. They will not be able to be planted right away after digging them up. I know that this is a very hardy plant, but want to know if they should survive up to a week until they can be replanted if they are kept moist. Plan to put each clump into a plastic grocery bag. I appreciate your expert advice!

Sharing plants is beautiful. We think that your lucky friend in North Carolina will be fine planting the clumps that you dig and hold for a week.
