What type of linden tree is this? #772557

I lost this beautiful tree in the storm and want to replace it with the same but don't know what type of linden it is. Please identify

It's not possible to identify the exact cultivar or species in this manner. However, there are a number of options for Lindens that work well in Minnesota landscapes. Some are:

American Linden (Tilia americana)
Cultivars include: American Sentry Linden (T. americana 'McSentry');  Boulevard Linden (T. americana 'Boulevard'); Frontyard Linden (T. americana 'Bailyard'); Redmond Linden (T. americana 'Redmond')

Littleleaf Linden (Tilia cordata)
Cultivars include: Corinthian Linden (T. cordata 'Corzam'); Greenspire Linden (T. cordata 'Greenspire')

Check with your local nursery or garden center for these plants. I recommend waiting until spring to plant just because we are still in a drought and transplanting can add more stress to a tree. Planting in the spring also gives a tree the entire growing season to get established in its new location.
