Hi, I recently planted several lilac bushes and a few of them have begun to develop browish/dark spots or turning dark all together. I have provided a few photos to help solve this issue. I have probably overwatered and hope that is the case but wanted to check with the experts in case it's something for serious. I planted these about 2-3 weeks ago. Any guidance would be a great help. Thank you!

The leaf discoloration is likely due to the stress of replanting during our hot and dry summer. You should make sure the shrubs receive 1” of deep watering each week until the ground freezes. The beat way to do this is with a slow flow on a hose over 30-40 minutes. This ensures deep watering which assists in better establishment of roots.
