My green beans look sick. They are loosing leaves. Some of the pods are not filled. They are wimpy. We have a soaker hose irrigating them. Are they diseased? Eaten? What advice can you share?

Hello,
I do not see disease or insect damage from your photo. Have you checked the soil moisture level by digging in the soil to see if the water is getting all the way to the roots? It is possible the plants have lost some leaves due to drought stress. Also, have you fertilized the plants at all or looked at the roots to see if the root system is large with healthy white roots? Having this additional information may help solve your bean mystery!
