I followed the thread of the conversation and maybe offering redundant information.

If, you have not found any insects, oozing or fungus on the tree, it appears that your beautiful tree suffered winter damage.  Is the browning mostly on one side of the tree and is that the windward side? Winter damage stresses trees and can leave them open to secondary pests. However, from the photographs your tree appears very healthy. This is a wait and watch situation. The brown needles should fall off as the tree produces new needles. There is nothing to be done at this time. Should you notice any other concerning events as mentioned above please contact us again.
