Hi, Can you tell me please what insect this is? Does it sting? Should I be worried about it? thanks, Patricia

This looks like a type of wasp, possibly in the spider wasp family, genus Auplopus. https://www.marylandbiodiversity.com/viewChecklist.php?genus=Auplopus
