Cherry Tomato #765283

Asked August 02, 2021, 3:06 PM EDT

Is there any hope for this tomato plant? We purchased this plant from Home Depot and transplanted it to our garden where we have many other flourishing plants. Since then many of it's leaves are yellowing and look like they are dying. We gave it some organic fertilizer and plenty of water. It is on the south face of our house and gets plenty of sun. Please help.

Hi Cara,

From what I can see, I do think there is hope for your tomato plant. How frequently and how are you watering the tomato plant, and when did you first notice the yellowing and stunted leaves? I am seeing some distortion in the leaves, but this can be the result of many different factors. To provide a more thorough examination and diagnosis, it would be helpful to see an affected branch in person. If you are interested, you can submit a sample to the Jefferson County Plant Diagnostic Clinic. This link provides more information about the clinic: https://jeffco.extension.colostate.edu/horticulture/clinic/

For the meantime, I also want to leave this document which provides information for diagnosing some of the more common problems that tomatoes can encounter: https://extension.colostate.edu/docs/pubs/garden/02949.pdf
