Expert Response
Providing shade on the hottest days is one suggestion for dealing with heatwaves on berry plants. I don’t find suggestions about blueberries and the watering style in extreme heat, so I can refer your question to other experts.
Since it’s hot right now, I’ll share the Oregon Extension article “Heatwave in the garden: how to identify and prevent heat stress in plants”, while we see if another expert is available.
Hello,
Overhead watering of blueberries is not advised. It can lead to disease problems. I's stick with drip irrigation or watering the soil. You'll find more info about irrigating blueberries here: https://catalog.extension.oregonstate.edu/ec1304/html
