Tree with berries #763805

Asked July 25, 2021, 12:23 PM EDT

We have a tree growing wild on our property that produced some sort of red turned to black berry. Can you tell from the picture what it is?

Expert Response

The tree cannot be identified by the photos. Although the ground foliage is very clear, the tree foliage and the fruit in particular are not clear. (Search was coming up with holly and raspberries.)

It is most likely this is a type of mulberry. Here is more information about mulberry to enable you to identify this plant through your own, more accurate observations and experience with the plant.

Thank you very much for your prompt response. The. Information was very helpful.  I believe our tree is a white mulberry.
Thanks again!
