Dying trees #763224

Asked July 22, 2021, 12:21 PM EDT

I have two trees that are not faring well, this year and I would appreciate your help in diagnosing the potential issues. #1 - I planted a young apple tree in fall 2019. It survived well last year, but this year, it is losing specific branches on the tree. Some of the branches appear healthy, but others have completely dried up and withered. Is this a potential blight of some kind, or is this how apple trees react to an environmental condition (e.g. insufficient watering). #2 - My mature pine tree has completely turned brown. I'm not sure what triggered the decline. Is this tree recoverable, or do I just need to plan to remove it? I have attached a couple of pictures to illustrate the situation.
