It is sometimes hard to tell just from a close up, but not seeing the whole tree, it appears to be a true cedar, so either Atlas cedar or Deodor cedar, native to Africa and Europe, common ornamental trees. The browning damage seems consistent with the range of symptoms of foliar scorch we are seeing in response to the late June heat wave. Look very mild.
That heat wave was unprecedented, so we do not know what to expect for long term impacts on trees.

The attached image ending in 35 is the one which is having the problem. The attached image ending in 30 is the one that is not. They are only about 8 ft apart.
