Mosaic virus on my rose #762003

Asked July 15, 2021, 5:27 PM EDT

Is this mosaic virus on my Wollerton rose?

Van Buren County Michigan

Expert Response

The first photo could be a virus or feeding damage from leafhoppers. High soil pH can also cause yellowing on the leaves. The only way to test for the presence of a virus is to mail in a plant sample to the Plant and Pest Diagnostic Lab in East Lansing.

These symptom in photos 2 and 3 are not consistent with rose mosaic virus.
