Soil Test Report #759041

Asked June 29, 2021, 11:45 AM EDT

Can you help me interpret my soil test? I'd especially like to know what can cause the Magnesium and Calcium to be in the excessive range. Is that due to the high pH? Any insights are welcome. Many thanks! Karen Durland

Expert Response

While it looks concerning to see "excessive range" on a soil test report it is nothing to worry about.

High calcium and magnesium are normal and not a problem. It is due to the rock (parent material) from which the soil is derived.
