Insect eggs? #758090

Asked June 24, 2021, 9:46 AM EDT

I was clipping off spent bloom on my calla lily and noticed these little hairs all lined up in a row. Have not seen anything like this in my 40 years of gardening. Any ideas?

Hello Diane,

Yes, they are the eggs of the lacewing, a beneficial insect in the garden.  Here is more information about them.
