Unique bug #757415

I’ve never seen this kind of insect before & I am wondering what kind it is. It is pictured sitting atop a leaf of kale in a garden. Thank you!

This is an immature wheel bug, a beneficial predator of caterpillars and other insects. It will not eat the kale.
