Wild ferns have invaded my hostas. I would like to transplant them to an area by themselves. When is the best time to do this? Any special instructions?

Hello!
Thank you for contacting Ask Extension.
If possible, wait until later this fall to transplant the ferns. Or if you need to do it now, wait until temps are not so high. After transplanting, keep well watered for at least few weeks, if not for the rest of the growing season.
