How do I get rid of ants that have infested my potted flowers?

It is fairly common for ants to infest containers outdoors.  There are outdoor ant baits that you can find in hardware stores to help control the population. Place them around the container. If not effective,  sometimes it is necessary to repot into fresh potting mixture.
