Rown spot fungus on lawn #757345

My lawn looked great right after all the rain we had this spring. Now it is turning brown in large areas. I think it might be brown spot fungus. If it is, will it come back and how long does it take?

Thanks for contacting the Master Gardeners.  Without a photo, this question would be difficult to answer.  The first thought is to check your sprinklers and make sure those brown spots are being watered like the rest of the lawn.  That's usually the problem.  As far as brown spot fungus, if you'd like to bring in a sample of this area affected, we can look at it under a microscope and give you an answer, and how to deal with it.  If you can, please send a photo.
