We planted our rose approx 8 weeks ago and came home from vacation to find what appeared to be a fungus on the leaves. We now also have what appears to be an insect eating the leaves as well. How do we treat both of these issues?

The damage may be caused by the Rose Sawfly larva or Japanese Beetles. Above are websites with information and pictures. The third website has ways to deal with the problem.
