I have some trees in my yard that I did not plant. The tree bears a fruit that the birds eat. Could you identify the tree and let me know if the fruits are edible to humans? I have attached some pictures.

Hello,
This is a mulberry tree. Yes you can eat the fruit, but make sure it is ripe before ingestion. The fruit will turn dark red or purple to black when it is ripe. If there is any sign of green or pink on the berry, they are not ripe enough yet, do not eat them as they can make your stomach upset from it's laxative effect. Hope this helps!
