Japanese beetle treatment #753594

Asked June 02, 2021, 4:26 PM EDT

We are getting solicitations from a company called Proshield proposing a 2-stage treatment for Japanese beetles. First is a "flushout" where they treat larvae in the soil; i think with pyrethrin? then when beetles are active. Does this work? Is it worth $800? (we have about 1/3 of an acre yard) Thanks!

I cannot advise you whether to hire or not hire this company. What I can do is send you information on the Japanese Beetle, and treatment options, published following research done by the Colorado State University Extension. This should help you in making your decision.
