my rhubarb has a soap or weed killer spray taste when i use it for baking - when i taste it raw it tastes fine - we are a private property and i have not sprayed near it - i have had theses plants for 3 years - what could be causing this - the plants look great

Thanks for your question. Have you tried baking/roasting it on its own to see if you get the same effect? This might rule out if it is the rhubarb itself or perhaps an interaction with baking ingredients you are using.

Ok we figured out what happened. I sprayed the weeds with 2-4-D. But was thirty feet away from the plants. I think with the heavy rains it washed down them. My question now is. Would pulling the stalks and letting them grow out again get rid of the spray in the ground or do we need to do something else
