Expert Response

Ms. Harrison: Are you sure you have giant hogweed? It is not very common. To the best of my knowledge, there have only been about 10 verified sites in Columbia County. All have been treated and killed. This time of the year, it is easy to confuse giant hogweed with cow parsnip, a native plant that is blooming right now. But you also could have it. Below is an aid to accurate identification. If you still think you have giant hogweed. I will come look at it if you think it is giant hogweed after looking closer at it.  Contact me directly at <personal data hidden>  or on my cell<personal data hidden>.
