Help with grass #752933

Asked May 30, 2021, 10:23 AM EDT

I need some help with what to about my lawn. I have been unable to fill in the bald spots for over 4 years. The ground is very hard and the grass is very thin. I have tried everything from planting plugs to fertilizer but nothing has worked. What can repair the lawn? Thanks so much!

Julie,

When a patch remains 'bald' after four years and numerous efforts to repair, we would suspect Take-all Root Rot.  I am attaching information about this disease.  Also, the only way to definitively know if it is TARR is to have the soil and grass tested.  I have attached the information you need for this.
