Snowball bush dying #752826

My snowball bushes left out the spring beautiful set flowers and they were blooming great buy this past Wednesday the backside was wilted and had a lot of die back 

The front side of my snowball has Laceys leaves like they’ve been ate do I have a fungus or do I have a bug problem or both they are about 10 to 12 years old about 12 to 14 feet high do I need to take them out or what can I do to save them thank you

The The back half of my snowball bush is totally dead all the leaves dropped off the front half looks like it’s been eight the leaves look like lace they bloom goodbye 22 May and then all of a sudden everything started dying do I have a fungus or do I have a bug problem and what do I do with the diseased wood Linda

Hello.  Your bush has been attacked by the viburnum leaf beetle (VLB).  How disappointing to see a beautiful shrub defoliate. The link above will give you more information and ways to try and control it.
