zinnias #752376

Is it too late to plant zinnia seeds for a good show this summer?

Sibley County Minnesota

Expert Response

You could probably still grow zinnias, but they require about 4 -5 weeks to germinate, so flowering may happen in late July. They do tend to last into fall, so if you want a later crop, then I would say plant away! But if you want a good show earlier in the summer, say for an event, then buying plants would be better.

Why, thank you so much!  I am looking for plants. JC
