Star Jasmin appears to be dying! #751662

Hello, I hope you can help. I have a huge wall of star jasmine, now 4 years old. This spring, it started not looking so great. Many leaves turning yellow then red (pic) and falling off. Many of the still-green leaves had black spots (pic). I took some samples to a local nursery. One said it looked like stress from the late cold snap we had and there wasn't much to do. I wasn't sure, so I took them to another nursery where they thought that was part of it, but also maybe the fungus Black Spot. So I treated for that with two different types of treatment, and added compost and fertilizer. They said as long the new growth looks fine, the whole thing should be fine. A few weeks later, the new growth started but was NOT looking fine, this time they thought aphids, so I treated for that. Now a few more weeks later and ALL the new growth looks bad. Pics attached, but it either has black dots and other areas, or is discolored. I've done what the nurseries have suggested, but I'm afraid the whole wall of jasmine is going to dye. Please help!!

Expert Response
Your star jasmine, Trachelospermumjasminoides, could have damage from weather, pests, disease, or all of these.
Provide a photo of the whole plant, so the damage pattern can be seen. A photo of the back of damaged leaves, also.
Describe how you care for the plant-how much sun, irrigation, pruning and any other information. How is the soil drainage? Does the plant wiggle in the soil, or does it seem very firmly rooted?
These plants often have leaf drop in late winter (yellowing-red) and then when it really warms up, they put on lush growth, recovering fully from the cold winter. I hope we can determine if something else is going on.
