Wondering what this invasive ground cover in backyard is, and if toxic to dogs

Hello Linda

This is the green form of goutweed, Aegopodium podagraria. It is an aggressive ground cover that is listed as invasive in some states, although it is not listed as such in Michigan, yet. Here is some detailed information on goutweed.
