Burning Bush #751141

Asked May 20, 2021, 4:43 PM EDT

Hello. I just noticed something is going on with my burning bush. It used to be about 10 ft tall then we had a horrible winter/spring that I thought killed it. I cut it and left a foot at the bottom. The following year it started to come back. Last year it was a nice small shrub. I just noticed part of it doesn't look good. Do you know what the problem is? See 3 photos. Thank you..

Hi,

Burning bushes had a rough time a couple of winters ago. That made them more susceptible to insect pests. Check this out: https://www.extension.iastate.edu/news/2006/jun/070901.htm
