Can you identify this tree growing in an old compost pile? Leaves look like peach and fruit looks like fig.

The leaves look like peach but the fruits resemble plums. In any case, it is not specifically recognizable because fruit trees generally do not grow true to type from seeds (although some people have better success with growing peaches from seeds compared to other species). The fruits should be edible if they ripen successfully.
