Hello, Attached is a picture of the bark, the leaves, and the whole tree. Could you please identify it for me?

This looks like a linden tree, Tilia americana. https://www.marylandbiodiversity.com/view/1372

We also notice English ivy, an invasive vine growing up the trunk. https://extension.umd.edu/resource/english-ivy

https://www.invasive.org/alien/fact/hehe1.htm

To eradicate English ivy that is growing on trees cut the vine off at the base of the tree and paint the newly cut end of the vine with a systemic herbicide (containing glyphosate or triclopyr) at high strength. Read the product instructions pertaining to tough weeds. Do not let the herbicide get directly on the tree. Do not pull the vines from the tree as this can damage the bark. The vine will dieback on its own on the tree trunk.

Thank you!
I had been told it was an elm. I thought all elms had been damaged or killed by Dutch Elm Disease.
Interesting. I'll check out linden trees.
