Brown spots on my young tomato plants #749860
Asked May 14, 2021, 7:42 AM EDT
I have some potted tomato plants that I grew myself under lights. They have been transitioned to a makeshift greenhouse to harden off. There are brown shots evident on the leaves (please see attached image).
What shall I do?
Thank you!

Expert Response
Jim, thanks for the question.
If the spots showed up after the transition this could be sun scald. The hardening off process may have been a little too fast. If before the transition it could could be a burn from being too close to your grow lights. According to some sources, plants too close to the light (especially LEDs) can cause the problem. I hope this helps.
Thank you foe the response and suggestions. I’ll see how things go from here.
