Often container grown plants, under full sunlight, require regular daily watering. Obviously, during cloudy/shaded and/or cool weather less frequent watering is sufficient.

I've included a handout below that has some more general guidance. Note that it states even with drip watering a biweekly deep hand watering is suggested.
