Killing grubs #749606
Asked May 12, 2021, 8:03 PM EDT
In an effort to ward off my rotten moles that wreck my yard, I want to spread something to kill the grubs. What do you suggest? Believe me, I know about the other methods...I have tried with no success.

Hope this helps.
For my situation of having a lawn in town and trying to get rid of moles, this doesn't seem helpful.
Are you able to just name something that I could spread on my lawn to kill the grubs?

However, because moles feed on earthworms and soil insects other than grubs, getting rid of grubs may not reduce the number of moles in your yard. In fact, some theorize that killing soil insects, including grubs, may force moles to dig farther and faster to find enough food.
The following bulletin discusses this in more detail:

If your lawn is so heavily infested with grubs that the grass is being seriously damaged, the following bulletin explains what control products to apply and when to do it. Although the publication was prepared for Michigan residents, most of the information also applies to Minnesota.
