what is this plant that looks like clover #749575

Asked May 12, 2021, 6:01 PM EDT

My daughter has a weed in her lawn that looks like clover. None of the id sites shows how clover grows. This is about 18 in across from a central root and stays flat to the ground. It has small white blooms. It is not like the clover that roots where it touches the ground.

Thank you for the photos.  I am afraid I am unable to see the leaves very distinctly, but they appear to have the white coloration on the leaves that help identify this species.  Perhaps you can compare your plants with the clover varieties found in the Pacific Northwest described here:  http://biology.burke.washington.edu/herbarium/imagecollection/browse.php?Genus=Trifolium

Good luck!
