I have about eight Plum Pudding Coral Bells lining my sidewalk to our front door. Several of them have large ant hill mounds within the plant. Can I use some type of ant killer on them without harming the plant?

Expert Response
There are some ant baits (poisons) that are made for outdoors. They are usually on a stake, but some have drops that go on paper. Put one or two near the mounds. The ants should take the poison back to the queen and the nest should die off. If they don't, try another brand that uses a different chemical. The plants should be unharmed.
