I just noticed these white crusty sacs/ growths on 2 azaleas. They are abundant. I see none on the other azaleas. So far I see no shrub damage. What is it, and how pro I treat this?
They are non native azaleas, and have been in the woodland edge -yard for years.

This is a fairly common fungus that, while causing prominent symptoms, doesn't result in any notable health detriment to the plants it infects. You can clip off the affected leaves or stems and dispose of them, and the plant should regrow new foliage either this year or next.
