I already have perennials, but need to let go of some annuals . My garden is a flower garden. No vegetables. It is south facing and gets HOT. I am not very skilled on the computer. Expert Response

Hello,
Thank you for writing to us for help with choosing perennials for your flower garden. We are all working remotely due to Covid restrictions; unfortunately, we can only respond via email.
I'm going to use a website https://plantselect.org to see if we can find some plants that will meet your needs to care for your garden. I'll also give you information on using the site in case you don't care for the plants I find. You may know someone who can help you, as well.

Height1" - 6"6" - 18"18" - 3'3' - 6'
Does your garden have a color theme? I can search for a number of different colors. Please let me know if you have any preferences.
Using the Plant Select plant finder can be very helpful. Once you go to the site, there is a button called "Search right plant right place." When you select it, you'll be taken to a page called "The Plant Finder."
There, you can choose what plant type you want (annual, groundcover, perennial, ornamental grass and more). If you're looking for a tree or shrub, you can choose whether you want evergreen or deciduous. You can choose the amount of sun your plants will get (partial sun, sun or shade); plant width and plant height; foliage and bloom colors; bloom times, fall colors, and attributes like whether you want plants that will attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees and birds; deer resistant; drought tolerant and more.
As you select those items, to the right, it will produce a visual image of plants that meet your criteria.
Please let me know what else I can search on.
Thank you!Colorado Master Gardener

What you've given me about lighting (full sun) is helpful to know, and that you're interested in taller/bigger plants.

Can you give me a range in plant height and width that you'd be interested in? The site breaks down recommendations into these categories:

Width
1" - 6"
6" - 18"
18" - 3'
3' - 6'

Height
1" - 6"
6" - 18"
