I found these nests and tunnels behind a wooden board on my siding. The holes in the siding are from bolts not the bugs. I am stumped and really curious. The tunnels are like burnt leaves and empty inside. No webbing from spiders. No stink bugs to be seen. Tunnels are up to about a foot long and the nests are made out of grasses.

This is the work of the small, harmless insect called the grass carrying wasp.
