Vegetable Garden Flowers #745288

Asked April 20, 2021, 11:27 AM EDT

What flowers should I plant in my vegetable garden to attract pollinators? I was told marigolds and swiss chard but there has to be more to this list. Thank you!

Good for you! Here is our webpage flowers for pollinators

Annual flowers that benefit and attract pollinators include sunflowers, annual Rudbeckia, Salvia, Zinnias, Melampodium, sneezeweed, hyssop, and more. Here is a study I did recently on annual flowers for pollinators.

Herbs like basil, oregano, thyme, lavender, etc. are also great to mix in with vegetables. Let some flower for the bees and butterflies. Edible flowers are also fun, great for bees and delicious additions to your meals.

Our Landscape design webpage has lots of helpful info on plant selection including landscaping for pollinators.
