Recently got a tomato plant, strawberry plknats, and a peppers plant. Some strawberries are starting to grow and there was nothing from the tomato plant yet.
But there was something about the pepper plant. What are the little buds in the middle of the pepper plant?

That is what is called the “terminal bud” which is where the next vertical growth will come from. There might be flower buds in there too. As the plant grows, the stems will lengthen and any buds tucked underneath will separate out to stand on their own.
