Unfortunately we aren't going to be able to tell you exactly what the weed is from the pictures. But now I would feel comfortable in guessing that its one of the perennial grassy weeds since it's a little early to see annual grassy weeds that size. However, if you would feel more comfortable in having the weed fully identified before moving forward, we would need you to dig one up, keeping the roots intact, and bring it by the Fayette County Extension office for us to identify.
