Dying spruce tree branches #743759

Asked April 11, 2021, 6:09 PM EDT

Hello, I have two spruce trees with dying lower branches. Do you have any suggestions on what could be causing the problem and what I can do to try to save the trees? Thank you.

Expert Response

The decline of spruce trees is a common problem with a number of causes.  I have located reliable websites with information on spruce dieback and listed them below.

Hopefully you will be able to identify the cause of the dying branches better than I can from the photos you included.  I wish you success in controlling the problem with your trees.
