Grape Vines #738164

Hello: I'm not sure to ask, but we have some grape vines at our new house that are very overgrown and need an overhaul, and I don't want to screw it up. Is there anyone I can ask for advice on this? I believe the sellers said these were some kind of northern-adapted grape, so I don't want to assume that I can follow California wine country pruning guidelines. Thank you! Michael Corey

Yes, you can prune them. Don't be surprised at the amount of branches you will end up removing. It's best to prune ASAP before budbreak.
