Last summer, I trimmed back large 'dead' branches from a forsythia bush. There now are few buds on those that are left. Should I cut back all to ground? I live in Gaithersburg, MD 20877. Thanks for help!

I would wait to see what happens this spring. If there are no leaves on the branches, cut them down to the ground. If the shrub doesn't produce new growth, time to remove it.
