UNKNOWN Cyprus spider** #737440

Hi, 2 years back we came across this spider in northern Cyprus crawling in our villa on the wall. They have also been spotted in the pool pump room (it’s dark in there) please could you tell me if these are dangerous and should we get them removed. Attached is a photo.

Hello,
This looks like a European tarantula. They are not particularly dangerous but it would hurt if you get bitten. Since they are highly mobile, it is probably not worth trying to exterminate or use pesticides to kill them. In fact they are beneficial in that they eat other insects.
