Leaf Disease on leaves of redbud tree #729383

Do I have cercospora on my redbud tree and if so, is there any treatment?  Thank you.  CW

From what I'm seeing in your pictures, your tree does appear to have one of the leaf spot fungi. One can't be sure exactly which one it is without the use of a microscope. We have a factsheet on treating this infection in Aspen and Poplar trees, which you can read here:

The maintenance section of this publication will describe the general approach to this condition. You can't do anything about the current infection, other than bagging the diseased leaves as they fall. Try to take care of the general health of the tree through the coming winter with regular winter watering. I would wait and see what you have early next summer. This condition will rarely kill a tree, but if you have another severe infection a fungicide might be considered.
