I have barberry bushes which appear to be dying or eaten. Limbs are covered with what appears to be cocoons. I am attaching picture of these cocoons. Can you help?

It is damage from the Barberry Webworm. Check the shrubs in July and treat when found. Its too late this year and most barberries make a full recovery.
